On Filming in Columbus...
"We couldn't have made 'SPEAK' as well as we did if we had not come to Columbus. Over half of our cast came from Cincinnati and Columbus. Their performances blended seamlessly and authentically with our Hollywood stars.

We procured hundreds and hundreds of local extras whom we cast with extremely hard working casting agencies. We rented virtually all of our lighting, grip and camera equipment here. And--best of all--we were able to make great deals on all of our locations and travel and living arrangements thanks to tremendous cooperation and support from the Mayor's Office in Columbus.

If we had made the movie in New York or L.A. the budget would have tripled."
